It’s always nice to see new names showing up. To expose not only ourselves, but our fans as well, to new artists, new styles and new views on the best way to deliver electronic dance music to the masses is what it’s all about. And with that, we present you with a bird’s-eye-view into the diffused world of Michael Woods. The 2011 Ministry of Sound resident and progressive/electro producer/DJ has worked with Deadmau5, Estelle, Martin Solveig, Kylie Minogue, Funkagenda, Judge Jules, Chris Lake and more. Like Mark Knight, he has managed to carve out a corner of house music and make it completely his own. See for yourself!
In a city where there’s only three groups bringing electronic dance music DJs on a consistent basis, and two of them are strictly techno and minimal, it’s tough to find variety. Most Glow fans expect the Kaskades, Armin van Buurens, David Guettas and Tiestos on a weekly basis. Of course, no one gets that except the folks who spend their summers in Ibiza. And besides, do you really want to see the mega names over and over? Being one of the select parties in the US to have two events each and every week, Glow has the ability to delve a little deeper into the world of dance music. No where else in the world does the same promoter bring Joris Voorn one week and Armin van Buuren the next. Steve Lawler then Cosmic Gate. Roger Sanchez and then Kaskade.Tweet
