The folks at Native Instruments, who changed DJ technology with Traktor Scratch Pro, are at it again. This time with the Maschine! A company lauded by the likes of Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin and Dubfire, Native now brings it’s take on the Midi Production Studio, more commonly referred to as MPC.

The LCD screen and light-up buttons are pretty, sure, but the real functionality in the Maschine lies within the ability to have a host of samples at your fingertips.

It goes like this: using the software, you drag a drum kit or some other sample kit into the pads, and then boom! You can tap the pads, record, make some beats, loop them, then switch over to a different kit and add to your creation!

Another slick thing about Maschine is that it can be seamlessly linked to Traktor for even more live remixes!
