Glow Black Hole compilation

The everlasting sound of Washington DC

“Glow Washington DC Winter 2011” on Black Hole Recordings features a diverse collection representing favorites from two leading Dutch and American club brands. From Cosmic Gate & Emma Hewitt’s inspiring “Be Your Sound,” to the freaky-bouncy rhythm of Manufactured Superstars feat. Scarlett Quinn – Take Me Over (Bingo Players Remix); the compilation embodies the sounds Black Hole and Glow were built on, and where they are going.

Trance from Sean Tyas, Alex M.O.R.P.H. and John O’Callaghan flow seamlessly into electro from Bassjackers and big room grit from Arty’s remix of Ferry Corsten – Punk. The result? 15 tracks representing the essence of one of America’s longest-running club brands.

The relationship between Glow and Black Hole extends almost as far back as the brand and label themselves. Washington DC nightlife‘s premiere event has been booking Black Hole artists like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, George Acosta, Cosmic Gate, Josh Gabriel and Robbie Rivera for nearly a decade, some longer.

Glow hosted the first weekends in America for both Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten. Tiesto was spinning in Washington DC a decade before he was named “Greatest DJ of All Time.” George Acosta was Glow’s first booking back in 1999. The union of Black Hole and Club Glow represents dance music in America & Holland over the past 15 years!

In 2003, then Glow Resident DJ Pete Moutso became the first American artist to release on the Dutch label. His “One Night at Glow” compilation featured progressive tech-trance and uplifting techno from the leading lights in dance music.

Now, in 2011, Glow and Black Hole reunite to bring you the first of a new mix series inspired by Mother Nature.
