Planking • [plangk-ing] • verb
The act of facing downward with arms flat on one’s side in attempt to imitate an immobile wooden plank – also known as the Lying Down Game
Planking has quickly become one of the newest and most ridiculous online crazes.
It’s not about winning or losing, but who can perform the most original or unique planks. The more absurd and location-specific the better!
And of course, none other than Steve Aoki & friends are at the forefront of the EDM-plank wars! Enlisting the help of Afrojack, Sidney Sampson, Diplo, Skrillex and more.
Although a seemingly harmless activity, the planking fad has reported one casualty. A man in Australia plunged to his death off the seventh floor balcony of his Brisbane apartment in May.
Please remember the following while planking – You are not Steve Aoki. You do not dive from scaffolding for a living!
