Carnage has done some amazing things so far in his career. From dropping his first studio album, Papi Gordo, to creating his own festival RARE, there isn’t much he hasn’t done. But to get a good understanding of the magnitude of Carnage’s influence, look at his contributions to the creation of the modern-day trap genre. Without Carnage’s remix of Hardwell’s 2012 hit “Spaceman” that fluidly combined hip-hop and EDM, trap would likely not be at every Mainstage or blasting through everyone’s radio speakers. Carnage is always known for pushing the boundaries and doing whatever style he wants. At his last sold out Echostage show, he easily flowed from hip-hop to reggae to Punjabi, and even a little bit trance, keeping the audience captivated. “If I want to make a rap record, I make it, if I want to make a house record I make it. If I want to make some pretty shit I make some pretty shit,” he told VIBE Magazine in 2013. No matter what it is, it’s hard pressed to find someone who does it as well as Carnage.

Born in Washington DC, moved to Guatemala as a one-year-old.

Fan base: The Chipotle Gang

Festival moment: “I went to EDC, and it was life-changing. That’s why a lot of the music I do and represent is festival music.”

Favorite foods: Gallo Pinto, Queso Frito, Platanos, Carne Asada, Tostadas, and of course, Chipotle.

His love for Chipotle caught the eye of the mega chain, awarding him with free Chipotle for life.

Biggest WTF?! Moment: meeting Steve Angello

Music that got him into DJing: Above and Beyond’s OceanLab project and hardstyle artists like Headhunterz and Alpha Twins
