Brothers Chris and Alex van den Hoef may be known for their 2013 collaboration with DJ and producer Borgeous on ‘Tsunami’, but they’ve been making waves even before then. Formed in 2010, the brothers got their start with their Generation Party EP, impressing Steve Aoki and LMFAO enough to be invited onto their respective tours. In 2012, they released their EP Initio which saw them changing up they’re sound a bit; infusing house, electro, reggae, and dub into their sound. Then came “Tsunami” and the rest was history, reaching #1 on the Beatport 100 and charting at #1 in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. However, not ones to be defined by one song the brothers continue to experiment with new genres, mixing together EDM, trap, electro and future house on songs such as ‘La La Land’ and ‘Ur On My Mind’.
Robert Gainley and Dr. No of Lost Kings may have only started in 2014, but age is but a number with these guys as they make their steady climb up the charts. After being picked up my Disruptor Management and dropping their three-track EP titled Bad on Spinnin’ Records, things have only gone up for them. After gaining popularity for their remixes, they found their voice with the release of songs such as Bad and Phone Down, settling into groovy and whimsical sound all their own.
