A decade after he flipped the switch, Steve Lawler is returning to the deep, hypnotic selections of yesteryear. On May 28, he will be releasing Lights Out – Decade on ViVA MUSIC. On May 5 he arrives at Glow Washington DC at Lima Lounge!
Says Steve, “In this day and age, a mix compilation needs to be special in some way, as DJ mixes are freely available all over the internet… So my plan was to have as many tracks as possible exclusive to this album, being released nowhere else but here. That along with every single track being re-edited or re-arranged makes this in some ways more than just a mix compilation.”
The compilation was launched on 3/25 at LIV Miami.
Named one of the Top 30 mixes of all time (inthemix), Steve Lawler’s 2001 ‘Lights Out’ compilation featured tracks by unsung dance music heroes such as Rhythm Gangsta, Psycho Radio and Noize Gate.
