Whoever said trance is dead CLEARLY has never seen Sean Tyas. DJ Mag’s #45 came through Saturday night, not 24 hours after playing a boat on the Hudson River, and absolutely annihilated Club Glow. His workflow, track selections and mixing ability gave flashbacks to former ‘club kids’ in attendance. Being one himself, we’re sure Sean would agree!

From the moment he took the reigns from fellow Discover artist Des McMahon, Sean was all over Glow. He was relentless; hard, fast, utterly euphoric… he spins trance the way it was meant to be played. Sean truly is one of the best rework/remixers of all time when it comes to EDM: Afrojack – Pacha on Acid (Sean Tyas rework), Gareth Emery – Sanctuary (Sean Tyas remix), Tiesto – Suburban Train (Sean Tyas Remix), Armin van Buuren – Going Wrong (Sean Tyas remix) were all massive!!!

The Glow board was buzzing Sunday afternoon. So we’ll repeat our previous statement… Whoever said trance is dead CLEARLY has never seen Sean Tyas. No one can dispute that the music, the crowd and the energy within Fur Nightclub were truly special. Other highlights included Darren Tate and Jono Grant – Let the Light Shine In (Corderoy Remix), Matt Everson – Heist Manoeuvre (Nick Sentience Remix), E-Craig – Home, Rank 1 – Airwave, and Rapid Eye – Circa Forever (Aly & Fila Remix). In fact, this show was so effing awesome even the glowsticking.com heads showed up!!!!

At the end of the night, Sean brought his label mate back on the decks for an epic tag-team session that drove the night home. Des’ track ‘Rainmaker’ was uber intense on Fur’s sound system. It was really great seeing the Discover star bringing the up and comer back for more. Although we won’t say he passed the torch, because after the year he’s had, Sean Tyas is only moving further up in the EDM hierarchy. Trance never left, it certainly showed its face at Glow Saturday night, and it sure as hell is not leaving any time soon!!!
