Sander van Doorn show review!

Sander wore a giant grin throughout the night. As we stood in awe of the lights, the sounds and the DJ, the DJ stood in awe of us. No wonder the OGs of DC Clubbing were impressed.

Boris at Lima show review!

dj boris pacha club glow washington dc nightclubs boris lima restaurantIt was no coincidence; Boris made it rain Thursday night. The fixture of NY clubbing brought his empire state of mind to Lima Restaurant and Lounge for a truly satisfying evening. Steamy and seductive, the people were the snakes and he was the snake charmer, entrancing them with the rolling vibrations of smooth, NY house. His build-ups were as advertised, large and thunderous; they forced you to get up to get down.

Calvin Harris show Review!

The resurrection continues. On the eve of Easter Sunday Calvin Harris came to Club Glow and continued to pour cement on the foundation built by David Guetta. The crowd came early and swelled within the walls of the main room at Fur Nightclub. Opening things up was Glow resident Jon Deke, who got everyone’s blood flowing with hard, upbeat, ‘throw your hands in the air and go crazy’ tunes.

Shlomi Aber show review!

Shlomi Aber brought a little piece of the Holy Land to Club Glow last Thursday. Super techy, ultra smooth and highly intelligent, Aber’s brand of dance music is a true manifestation of what defines techno. Unctuous and organic, Aber sent mind warping frequencies screeching through the speakers of Lima Restaurant & Lounge. Carefully layered underneath were intricate drum lines strolling in and out, mesmerizing the crowd. He was a hypnotist behind the tables. Trying to figure out where each hit and kick was coming from eventually gave way to non-thought. As syncopated techno marches advanced on the crowd’s ears, Aber led his people on an exodus from reality to the Promised Land of an altered state of mind.

Armin van Buuren SHOW REVIEW!

Tweet Opening duties Tuesday night @ GLOW belonged to special guest Jerome Isma-Ae. The Munich-based artist is without question a DJ’s DJ, a producer’s producer, a master of progressive dance. With releases on Anjuna, Armada, Vandit, and Coldharbour to name a few, it’s clear his skills are respected by the best of the very best. […]

Marcus Schossow - A Man on a Mission

With an overwhelming number of sub-genres of EDM, it’s refreshing to find an artist who combines them all. Classifying Marcus Schossow’s eclectic style into any one category is impossible. Fusing futuristic techno with filthy house and a subtle smattering of trance, the 24 year old Swede is in high demand for events and remixes across the globe. His positive, welcoming personality, high energy sets and signature sound are just a few reasons why he has been taking the electronic world by storm.

Show Review: Dan Sampson and Jon Deke at Lima's 4 year anniversary!

Lima Restaurant & Lounge has completed a presidential term in the realm of DC Clubbing. Four years ago it ran on the DC Nightlife ticket of the casual connoisseur, fusing food, wine, music and style.

Dirty South destroyed it at Glow last Saturday!

Dirty South is affiliated. Mobbed up in fact. A known associate of the Swedish House Mafia, Glow was lucky enough to have the Aussie grace the decks of Fur Nightclub last Saturday night. Uber chill and super amped to spin, the look on his face said it all when asked if he was excited to be back in DC. “Are you kidding me?!?! Of course!!”

Eric Prydz Show Review from his performance at GLOW

Just as the three-headed dog guards the gates of the Greek Underworld, so too do Eric Prydz/Pryda/Cirez D guard the gates of house. Quiet and reserved, taking in his surroundings, crouching, patiently waiting; Prydz allowed the Glow crowd to enter with safety, moving closer and closer until it was too late. He struck first as Cirez D, with dizzying chords strumming across throbbing bass lines. Words simply cannot do justice to the infusion of life that surged through the crisp sound system of Lima Restaurant & Nightclub. Unleashing tracks like the dark and ominous “On Off” was his way of telling followers, “this is how house was meant to be played.”

DJ Rap put on a crazy show at Glow Washington DC!

Club Glow has gone global. DJ Rap brought the wild rumpus straight to the living rooms of 5000 fans as she streamed live during her set at Lima Restaurant & Lounge. Turning her computer to the crowd, back to her and then dancing something fierce, Rap cultivated an air of glitz, glam and red carpet pageantry which was appropriate, as certain celebrities (who shall remain nameless) were in attendance… TMZ eat your heart out!
