DEORRO:

For over a decade, Los Angeles-born producer Deorro, née Erick Orrosquieta, has developed a sound so unique, it unapologetically transcends styles, blurs genres, crosses international borders, and breaks cultural barriers. He’s far outgrown his early days as a budding bedroom producer and local hero to become a worldwide-touring DJ, reputable songwriter, and bonafide superstar producer. Today, he is armed with an impressive stockpile of globally certified, chart-topping, platinum-selling releases and viral hit singles, all built on the strength of his studio prowess and musical fluidity. Deorro officially crossed over into the mainstream milieu in April 2014 with the release of “Five Hours,” which would initiate a seismic wave of nonstop momentum and open the floodgates to his illustrious trajectory. With “Five Hours,” Deorro fully flexes his production chops and songwriting mastery: A warping crescendo of filters and fuzz builds a palpable sonic tension before a grenade of futuristic beats, bass, and bounce explodes through the speakers with no regard. His first-ever chart-topping single, the song became an immediate success worldwide, having charted in a number of countries, including reaching #8 on SNEP official French Singles Chart and peaking at #1 on Billboard ’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart. Additionally, the success of the track resulted in a series of notable accolades for Deorro, including: a guest cameo appearance in hit MTV series, Teen Wolf , as well as featured placement on the TV show’s official soundtrack (June 2014); and a commendable ranking in DJ Mag ’s celebrated Top 100 DJs annual poll at #19, the highest new entry in 2014. The following year, Deorro teamed up with Grammy Award-winning pop/R&B star Chris Brown for a vocal-based remake of “Five Hours.” Released in March 2015, the updated “Five More Hours” elevated Deorro to the major leagues and marked his global dominance of the airwaves. The proof lives in the stats: With more than 19 global certifications, “Five More Hours” claims over 330 million Spotify streams and more than 200 million YouTube views of the official music video to date. The track also reached the Top 15 in the Spotify charts in 40 countries and reached the Top 15 in Apple Music’s overall charts in 16 countries. Furthermore, the hit single solidified the beginning of a strong, longstanding record deal with electronic music powerhouse, Ultra Music.

It all now comes together—all the sounds, styles, and influences lifted throughout the years, all the life lessons learned, all the studio skills earned—on Good Evening , Deorro’s debut full-length album, out now via Ultra Music. Four years in the making, Good Evening welcomes a fully robust, creatively curious Deorro tackling his most ambitious artistic endeavor to date. Featuring a staggering 24 tracks, Good Evening follows the much-forgotten concept album format—complete with intros, outros, and interludes—to deliver a truly rare feat in modern electronic music. A self-described perfectionist, Deorro puts it all on the line on Good Evening , offering an expansive look into his newfound knowledge as a proper pop producer and prestigious songwriter. The end result is a widely versatile venture into sound design that breaks away from the EDM status quo and challenges the expectations of dance music fans. Written as one cohesive thread, Good Evening works as a timeline of ideas, where each song delivers a different sound and each interlude offers a different chapter in the storyline, ultimately providing a seamless listening experience designed to be heard from beginning to end.

While storytelling is evident on Good Evening , so too is the wide range of genres, styles and influences. Opening track “Guide Me” mixes bits of future bass with airy dream pop and a gospel choir chorus. “Turn Back Time,” with Teemu, amps up the indie-dance vibes, while “Goin Up,” featuring frequent vocal collaborator DyCy, funks out to the fullest. On lead single “Rise and Shine,” Deorro mixes jazz-inspired swing from the speakeasy era with his trademark bounce sound as he goes for the jugular on this aggressive sonic salvo, while “Feeling Pretty Good” features uplifting vocal samples built over a dubstep-tinged slow-burner. “I see the album as a bank of knowledge from all I’ve learned,” says Deorro of Good Evening . “The more I work, the more I learn. My biggest goal every day is to learn something new.”

Already, the masses are reacting to Good Evening . Upon its release in March 2017, the album has stacked a laundry list of accolades: ranking high in the Apple Music Dance Album charts around the world, including #1 in two countries, #4 in France, and #19 in Australia, and additionally reaching the Top 50 in the Apple Music overall chart in six countries.

A proud Mexican-American, Deorro is also breaking ground in the worldwide Latin music market on the strength of his megai-hit “Bailar,” a Latin/EDM hybrid featuring Grammy Award-winning/Latin Grammy Award-winning international merengue star Elvis Crespo. Released in April 2016, the track has since garnered massive numbers: over 128 million Spotify streams; more than 51 million YouTube views of the official music video; over 13 global certifications, including platinum status in Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy, as well as gold status in France; significant charting on the US Top 40 Radio and Top 40 US Airplay charts; and much more. Following the mammoth success of the original track, Grammy Award-winning/Latin Grammy Award-winning global hit-maker Pitbull joined Deorro and Crespo on a new version of “Bailar,” which has amassed over 33 million streams on Spotify since its September 2016 release and most recently won the Billboard Latin Music Award for Tropical Song of the Year in April 2017. Elsewhere, Deorro’s 2014 Spanish-language song “Perdoname,” featuring DyCy and Adrian Delgado, has accumulated over 46 million Spotify streams, with an additional 7.5 million YouTube views of the official music video. Deorro also won the Best Latin American DJ category at the 2014 EMPO Awards, the most important awards ceremony for electronic music in Latin America.

Elsewhere, Deorro’s path to musical stardom has gained him heavy accolades across the mainstream masses and international EDM circles. His hit single, “I Can Be Somebody,” is a focus track on the official soundtrack for the Zac Efron-starring feature film, We Are Your Friends (August 2015, Interscope Records). He also maintains a steady lot of global festival anthems, including “Freak” with megastar DJs/producers Steve Aoki and Diplo (Mad Decent), which was featured on the official 22 Jump Street soundtrack, and “Flashlight” with R3hab (Spinnin’ Records). His originals “Bootie in Your Face (No Rock Drop),” “Lose It,” and “Supa Hot Fiya,” all released via Ultra Music, also helped establish Deorro’s fast-rising status early on in 2014. The world officially met Deorro in 2013 via “Yee,” his first major release on Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings. Having charted in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, “Yee” showed Deorro’s earliest glimpses of his potential and gave the young artist a taste of the future ahead. Additionally, his 2012 remix of Chuckie’s “Make Some Noise” landed him on the Top 50 chart on digital music retailer Beatport for the first time ever.

With Good Evening now in full bloom, Deorro is currently basking in the laurels surrounding his ever-evolving career, while keeping his eyes and ears wide open for his next move. There are rumors of a full-length Latin album to follow up Good Evening . He’s also exploring opportunities for behind-the-scenes work on scores for film, cartoons, and TV, and he continues to grow his own independent imprint and creative collective, Panda Funk. For now, Deorro will continue searching for his next artistic challenge—whatever shape, sound, or style.

“I’m like a spider web: I’m going that way, then I’m going this way, but I keep coming back to the middle,” says Deorro. “ Good Evening is me telling my story with what I know how to do now . Maybe with the next five albums later, I’ll tell my life story again with what I know then .”

NERVO:

From songwriters to artists and super-fans to superstars, electronic dance music’s first sisters – Mim and Liv Nervo of NERVO – have staged a miraculous climb onto the international stage, straight from the pit in front of it.

These multi talented DJ dynamos are the all-time top-ranking female DJs in the world, voted by their legions of fans to No. 16 on DJ Magazine’s influential “Top 100 DJs” poll while continuing to rank as the top female DJ’s in the world today. In-demand and beloved across the globe, their nonstop schedule takes them from the shimmering beaches of Ibiza, to their studio in their home-away-from-hometowns of London and LA, to the towering Main Stages of the biggest festivals in the world including Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, Creamfields, Balaton Sound, EDC, Electric Zoo, ULTRA and many more. Everywhere they go, their infectious energy, fearless personal style, and deep love and understanding for the music precedes them.

Having cemented their songwriting prowess with a global No. 1 and having written and produced hits for the likes of Kylie Minogue, Ke$ha, The Pussycat Dolls, Afrojack, Steve Aoki, Armin Van Buuren, and Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) to name a few, and receiving a Grammy Award for writing ‘When Love Takes Over’ for David Guetta and Kelly Rowland, the sisters of NERVO from Australia have risen to stardom with their songwriting skills alone. Mim and Liv’s career caught fire in 2009, when they co-wrote the the emphatic and grand global hit “When Love Takes Over” – for David Guetta and Kelly Rowland. But their journey into dance music started years prior in the festival fields of their native Australia, when as teenagers they went all-out for life-changing electronic acts like The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, and Fatboy Slim.

“Purple hair and purple lipstick; we did it all,” says Mim. “We almost broke ribs being in the front row of the mosh pit. We were those people in the crowd for so many years, to be playing on the same bills with some of those artists now is just electrifying.”

Their friends and collaborators in the world showed up to support them. “We’re All No One” with Afrojack and Steve Aoki (No. 8 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart),”The Way We See The World” with Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike (the official anthem of Tomorrowland 2011, which has garnered over 45 million YouTube views), “Reason” with Hook N Sling, “Something to Believe In” with Norman Doray, “Like Home” with Nicky Romero (their first No. 1 topping the Beatport chart for 3 weeks), “Turn This Love Around” with Armin Van Buuren (off the No. 1 DJ’s album Intense): Their list of A-list collaborators is dance music’s longest and most enviable, and in a world dominated by bros, that’s one heck of a sister act. They can do it for themselves too: NERVO original “You’re Gonna Love Again” has over 17 million views and their 2013 single “Hold On” (#1 on the Billboard Club Play chart) has garnered 11 million views.  Other releases included “Not Taking This No More” (#1 on the Beatport Electro House chart). Their single titled “Revolution”, a collaboration with R3hab and Ummet Ozcan, was released on Nov 11th via Spinnin Records and spent 3 weeks at #1 on Beatport.  Numerous other releases including a chart-topping debut album ‘Collateral’ in 2015 to high critical acclaim and reaching #1 on iTunes to string of club hits of their own, it’s fair to say NERVO are credited with being one of the biggest dance acts in the business.

With residencies and headlining sets at some of the top venues and events in the world including the new Las Vegas mega-clubs Omnia, Hakkasan, and Wet Republic, and Ibiza Beach Clubs Ushuaia and Hï (home to their #NERVONation parties). NERVO are also regularly embarking on Headlining tours of their own in Mexico, Europe, India, Australia and beyond! Wherever it may be the sisters are always playing to their devoted fans who wear homemade NERVO t shirts and hoist signs (“Will you marry me?”; “Lesbians for NERVO”), curve their hands into heart shapes, and post photos and poems to show their love and appreciation. NERVO has seen rapid growth across their social media channels including 1.2 million Instagram followers, 1.1 million Twitter followers, 3.7 million likes on Facebook, 338K subscribers on YouTube, 1.7 million monthly followers on Spotify, and 610K followers on Soundcloud.

Style, savvy, positivity and talent: It’s no wonder that NERVO was invited to join the ranks of the legendary beauties who can call themselves CoverGirls, named to the iconic CoverGirl brand’s family of spokeswomen last year. The partnership is just one more fabulous chapter in the developing NERVO story, a tale told in sweat, smiles, nail polish, neon, and no small amount of pixie dust.  Along this brand partnerships have included Tag Heuer, Coach, Ballantine’s, Smirinoff, MOET, Smart Car, Pepsi, SABMiller, Burn and Monster Energy Drinks, Corona, Pioneer, and many, many more.

“Let’s face it, you can be creative in many ways,” says Mim. “From wearing crazy clothes and great makeup to playing insane tunes. It’s all good.”

NERVO are regularly featured in Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, NYLON, In Style, People and other fashion/pop culture publications around the globe. In August 2013 NERVO performed live from the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards and in November they will appear on BRAVO TV as guest judges on the Rihanna produced reality show ‘Styled To Rock’.

Most recently NERVO has released the viral hit “Best Friend” which has become the official iPhone X campaign launch song, reached #1 on radio and iTunes, has over 30 million views on YouTube and over 40 million streams on Spotify.  Also gaining traction this past year including the hits “In Your Arms”, “Anywhere You Go”, “LOCO”, “Like Air”, “Make It Last”, “Champagne” and “Lost In You” featuring some of the biggest Artist in dance music today including Timmy Trumpet, Quintino, Danny Avila, DVBBS, Chief Keef, and Wolfpack.
