It finally happened. DJ Mag crowned Echostage as the #1 club in the United States and the #8 club in the world and it’s all thanks to you guys. Through your endless dedication as well as your unwavering support we have been able to put on some of the best shows possible and continue to grow. It has been a crazy and exciting 5 years and it’s only going to get better. But now it’s time to reminisce on how we got here so take a look at some of Echostage’s best moments:

2012

September 2012 – Echostage Opens Its Doors

Sander van Doorn, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and Roberto Gonzalez ushered in a new era of clubbing in Washington DC at the first ever Echostage show.

October 13th – Sold out Avicii Show

Avicii had been a long time staple in Glow’s lineup, but his debut show at Echostage was something else entirely.

November 21st – 24th – Thanksgiving Turn Up

9 Acts. 3 Events. Echostage definitely gave people something to be thankful for. Dirty South, Hook N Sling, and Paul Van Dyk were all in attendance to celebrate the holiday.

December 14th & 15th – Tiesto Weekend

Echostage favorite and absolute legend, Tiesto, has been there from the very beginning with his epic weekend takeovers. Over the years he has played 10 (!) shows at Echostage, each one better than the next.

 2013

2013 – Echostage Announced #38th In The World

Only a year after it’s opening, Echostage was voted as the #38th club in the world. Echostage was also honored as the #4 club in the United States. Not bad for only one year.

January – Echostage gets an upgrade

Echostage is dedicated to giving you the best experience possible. Want that bass to hit harder? We got you. How about a light show that has you seeing stars for the rest of the week? We got that too. In January of 2013, Echostage added new sound and lighting systems taking the music and the experience to the next level.

April 9th – We Found Love with Calvin Harris’s debut

Calvin Harris’s debut was everything and more. Playing hits such as We Found Love and Feel So Close, Echostage quickly became a spot for the top DJs.

May 2013 – Fan Videos Do It Better (Dash Berlin)

Huge thank you to all the fans that share their videos and photos of Echostage. Nothing beats the feeling of being in that crowd, but these front and center videos come close.

December 2013 – Hardwell makes his Echostage Debut

Hardwell has always been an Echostage favorite and it’s no surprise why. In his first show at Echostage, Hardwell showed the crowd a good time with a nonstop set of drops and major hits, leaving everyone wanting more.

2014

2014- Echostage Moves Up to #19th in the World

After an amazing year of shows with acts such as Steve Aoki, Hardwell, Skrillex, Diplo and DJ Snake to name a few, Echostage moves up 19 spaces and cracks the top 20. Sitting nice at #19 in the world and #3 in the United States, Echostage is just getting started.

March 1st – W&W and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano Bring the Festival Vibe to Echostage

Playing right until the very last minute, the vibe couldn’t have gotten any better when all four artists got on the decks. This what Echostage is all about.

May 10th – Carnage Returns Home

Nothing beats a home show and the Chipotle gang came out to give the DMV native a warm welcome to his debut show at Echostage.

June 21st – Steve Aoki Brings the Madness

Champagne, cake, and air mattresses oh my! Echostage became a complete mad house when Steve Aoki rolled through DC.

October 11th – A Parisian Affair

Trap? House? Why not both? Paris natives Tchami and Dj Snake brought Echostage to its knees when they stopped by.

 2015

2015- Echostage Steps Up to #18

Another strong year of shows at Echostage, such as this one with Martin Garrix, pushes Echo up another spot to #18 in the world and #2 in the United States.

January 24th – Echostage goes on a journey to a state of Trance

Using two arm bands to control the visuals and lighting, Armin van Buuren turned his 3rd Echostage show into a light extravaganza that proved why he is an Echostage favorite.

August 18th – Dada Life Transforms Echostage into The Dada Land Compound

What is Dada Land you ask? It’s bananas, pillows, and all the inflatable toys imaginable. It’s a place where dancing bananas and pillow fights are natural and you’ll arrive beautiful, but leave ugly. This show was beyond epic; it was legendary.

October 16th – Echostage Dances the Night Away with Kaskade

Kaskade is one of the greats and his October 16th show confirms that. People traveled from all over to Echostage to see the master at work. With 2 sold-out shows and 2 more coming up, Kaskade and Echostage go together like peanut butter and jelly.

December 25th & 26th – Skrillex Helps Ring in the Holidays with 2 Sold Out Shows

Oh Skrillex. Do we even need to tell you how crazy this show was? Two back to back shows with the Grammy winner certainly solidified our love for the dubstep king and helped usher Echostage into 2016.

2016

2016- Echostage Cruises to #13

Can’t stop, won’t stop. Echostage gets closer and closer to cracking the top 10 Best Clubs in the world.

April 9th – Shark Squad Rolls Deep

Jauz is one of the best DJs in the game but put him together with Echostage and there is no telling what can happen next. This sold-out show was one for the books.

 September 24th – 4 Years of Echostage

Time sure flies when you’re having fun. Echostage celebrated its 4 birthday with Deorro and thousands of its closest friends. The confetti, lights and fans were all top-notch putting all other birthdays to shame.

November 10th & 16th – Porter Robinson and Madeon Double Down for 2 Unforgettable shows

What do you get when you put together Echostage and two of the most promising young DJs? Not one, but two insane shows. Porter and Madeon brought the house down with major tracks such as Language and You’re On and, of course, a little bit of Shelter to close out the night.

December 29th – Zedd Kicks off Echothon week

Zedd is always a special show at Echostage with his infectious hit songs and colorful production on full display. He had Echostage wishing we could Stay the Night and just keep dancing.

2017

2017- Echostage Crowned #8th in the World and #1 in the US

Echostage finally cracks the top 10 AND  #1 IN THE USA! Everyone at Glow and Echostage would love to give a huge thank you to the all the new and old fans that have shown their support through the years. You are all truly amazing and we can’t wait to show you what we have planned next…

January 2017 – New Jets and LED Lights Take Echostage to the Next Level

Over the last 12 months, Echostage has focused on enhancing the fan experience. Additional lasers (for a total of nine units in house), cryo jets over the crowd, intelligent lighting, and expanded LED panels with all new processing surround the venue and combine to create an atmosphere highlighting the performance and an unforgettable experience for fans.

February 25th – Eric Prydz Returns to Echostage

Dance music legend Eric Prydz returned to Echostage for an extraordinary show that had the crowd going INSANE.
