“Songs” — Rusko’s Second Full Length Album
When he’s not busy prancing around on world tour or chugging gallons of milk, Rusko has been hard at work developing his second studio album. Titled “Songs,” it will be released on Diplo’s Mad Decent label in the United States on March 27.
Last week, he released a music video for the album’s lead single, “Somebody To Love.” True to Rusko form, the track wobbles through subterranean octaves with an underlying hint at old school jungle. “Somebody To Love” will be released for download on January 23.
Rusko is one of dubstep’s definitive artists. As the genre continues to reach mainstream listeners across America, Rusko is leading the charge — pioneering “fad” sounds rather than copying them. Following the success of his 2010 debut album, O.M.G., and tracks like “Everyday” and “Woo Boost,” Rusko is continually facilitating the genre’s evolution. In fact, his track “Got Da Groove” featuring Gucci Mane and “Da Cali Anthem” was the first dubstep song ever played on American radio!
Keep your eyes out for Rusko’s “Songs” and future high energy performances in the DC area!
