The debut EP from Monsta, a UK Dubstep trio, will feature remixes from Skrillex + Nero, Alvin Risk and Dillon Francis + Kill Paris
The story goes like this – Skrillex was chillin’ at South by Southwest with his manager and some friends. His manager breaks out Monsta’s track ‘Holdin’ On’ (below) and presses play. Skrilly looks at him and goes, “That’s a sick track and a cool vocal sample. Where’d they get that from? Is that Aretha Franklin?” Nope. It was Chris from Monsta’s voice and it was singing original music. Next thing ya know, we’re blogging about the group’s debut EP on Mr. Moore’s record label.

ABOUT MONSTA:
They’ve been described as mixture of Flux Pavilion, Moby and U.N.K.L.E. Their sound is instrument-based and largely sample-free. They’re currently signed to the same management group as Chase & Status, Knife Party and Sub Focus and are remixing for Zedd, Labrinth, Skylar Grey and more.
